CHARLES ("Uncle Will") attended Valparaiso University. Then studied at a business school in Indianapolis. In 1910 he was a salesman in a tea store in Indianapolis. During circa 1922-1924 he was a manager of Grand Union Tea Company, in Terre Haute, Indiana.

"Will" was known for his outging personality, and sense of humor! He and his wife also lived in Lafayette, Indiana.

Following the death of his wife Caroline in 1951, Will moved to his daughter's home in Silver Spring, Maryland, where he lived for the next twenty years.

Will and his wife Caroline Busking, are buried in a plot at Concordia Cemetery, with Caroline's sister, Emma Busking, and her husband Herman Lower. Also buried in the plot is Milford C. Lower, and his wife Eunice M. Tobrocke.
