BIOGRAPHY: "He was a member of the Salisbury Militia and was imprest for Her Majesties' service in the field in 1710. His seven children were baptized at the West Church, Salisbury, December 2, 1722. In a few years after his death his children left their native place, and with many others, settled the frontier towns of New Hampshire, halting a few years, as if for renewed strength, they and their descendants, started in different directions in search of homes, some going as far north as Canada, while others turned their faces eastward and journeyed until they founded settlements in Maine."
