Charles & Johanna are first cousins and grew up together in Good Thunder area. They married at St. John’s Lutheran Church but left the area in July 1895 after the birth of their firstborn daughter. Settled in Ottertail county and farmed there through the 1930’s. After his wife’s death, he moved to Placer CA where his single son lived. He died here in 1949 at age 74.


Spring of 1895, moved young family to Ottertail County, Corliss twp. to farm. Town of Perham. Moved to Placer, CA to live with son Edward.
