This article from 09January 1906 in the Fort Wayne, Indiana Sentinel may reference him: "Hoosic Falls, N. Y., Jan. 8.-Seven persons were injured, one of them fatally, when the Montreal express on the Boston and Maine railroad was wrecked at Wallamoosac early today, five miles north of this place. The most seriously injured was Charles Wardwell, of Bristol, Vt., the engineer. The fireman and five passengers were also hurt. The wreck was caused by the train running into an open switch and the railroad officials are of the opinion that the switch was opened deliberately for the purpose of wrecking the train.
