Charles L. Wadhams, well known in this city and prominent in the salmon canning business of Puget Sound, died Monday in Providence hospital in Seattle, following an operation for intestinal troubles. He had been in poor health for some time and but recently returned from a long stop in California. The deceased was the son of E. A. Wadhams, a pioneer salmon packer, and was 40 years of age at his death. He leaves a wife and one son. The funeral services were held in Seattle and the body taken through here to Vancouver Tuesday afternoon to be buried beside his father at Vancouver.
