    Last Thursday at high noon was celebrated the nuptials of Charles E. Wadhams of this city and Miss Mable Shaw, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Shaw, at Christ (Episcopal) church, Rev. Dr. Nevius officiating. Geo. A. Hoyt and Arthur Wadhams were groomsmen, and the Misses Birdie Shaw, Laura Wadhams and Laura Hutcherson acting as bridesmaids. The bride was clad in white silk with the regulation veil and wreath. Miss Laura Wadhams wore a costume of nun's veiling of a canary hue. Miss Birdie Shaw light green chambray and Miss Laura Hutcherson cream silk. The ceremony was the beautiful and impressive service of the Episcopal church. The bride was given away by the father. The church was crowded almost to suffocation, and was tastefully and elaborately decorated with flowers, and as the contracting parties stood beneath the floral bell to plight their troth the picture was one of happiness. At the conclusion of the service at the church a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride at which were present Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Shaw, E. A. Wadhams, Miss Laura Wadhams, Arthur Wadhams, Chester Wadhams, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Hutcherson, Miss Birdie Shaw, Dr. Nevius, T. A. Kennedy and wife, Geo. A. Ellsperman, Geo. A. Hoyt and wife, Miss Nell Thompson, Miss Eleanore Crilly, Miss Cordia Evans, E. H. Thomas, Chas. Merritt and H. Thomas. The happy couple are to reside at Semiahmoo, where the groom has a very pleasant and cosily furnished home. The editor of the Journal in common with a host of friends, extend to them a wealth of congratulations and good wishes.
