I'm not certain that I have this individual correctly identified. The 1860 and 1870 censuses for the Benjamin Franklin Tullis family list a son, Oswell, who was born about 1856. I'm not able to find an Oswell Tullis in later records. However, his parents and brother, Alonzo, settled in Nebraska. And a Charles O. Tullis is found in the 1910, 1920, and 1930 censuses in Nebraska. I believe this is Charles Oswell Tullis. That belief is further reinforced by the fact that Charles O. Tullis named a son Lonzo, presumably after Charles' brother, Alonzo.
