OBITUARY: 15 Jan 1987 Herald Standard Trimbath, Charles Age 91 years of Tower Hill No. 1 (Republic), passed away Wednesday, Jan 14, 1987 in Uniontown Hospital (collapsed at home, pronounced dead at hospital). He was born Dec. 31, 1895 in Hastings, PA (incorrect) and was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Republic, and the Holy Name Society. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He was preceded in death by a son, Paul Trimbath, in 1972. Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Mary Bookshar Trimbath; two sons George Trimbath of Lemont Furnace and Joseph Trimbath of Republic; two daughters Ann Marasco of Republic and Margaret Guerke of Glen Buenie, MD., 20 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Robert T. Kish Funeral Home, Legion Street, Republic, today from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday until 9:30 a.m., when a prayer service will be held, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Republic, with Rev. Fr. Michael J. Sciberras as celebrant. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Sunset Garden Lot #341, Brier Hill. Parish Rosary and Scriptural Wake Service, Friday at 8 p.m. NOTES: Affectionately know as "Pap". His father was supposed to have been killed in a poker fight in a bar when Pap was young. His mother did not want to stay in the US so she made arrangements for him to stay at a boarding house in Keisterville, he was said to have been about 9 years old. He began working at the mines and at some point met Mike Buskar the brother of Mary Buksar (who later became his wife) Census records from 1920 state that Pap emigrated to the US in 1909.
