- THIS INDENTURE made the seventeenth & eighteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & forty one Between CHARLES GREEN Clerk M.D. of the County of Prince William of one part & WILLIAM FAIRFAX of the said County of the other part Witnesseth that the said CHARLES GREEN for the sum of fiveteen pounds Sterling doth sell unto the said WILLIAM FAIRFAX all that parcel of land in Prince William County & Hamilton Parish on the South side of NEABSCO CREEK & is bounded begining at the mouth of a Branch issuing out of NEABSCO CREEK being always reputed the bounds between this said land & the land of the heirs of CHARLES TAYLOR Extending thence up the Branch the Meanders thereof So, W. up a valley to a red Oak standing by a PATH on a Ridge near the Line of Mr, CATESBY COCKE then with his line No. W. to the Dividing Line between this land & the heirs of Mr. THOMAS OSBORN deced then with their Line No. E. to two white Oaks said Course further extended to include about 15 acres of MARSH Lastly from the said two white Oaks down the said NEABSCO CREEK & the meanders to the begining containing Sixty acres of land & fifteen acres of Marsh the said land being granted to the said CHARLES GREEN as an Escheat from ANN HARWOOD Daughter of WILLIAM HARWOOD by Deed from the PROPRIETORS OFFICE dated Novr. 2d 1741. reference being had all which premises are now in the actual possession of him the said WILLIAM FAIRFAX by vertue of Indenture for one year & by vertue of the Statute for transferring uses into possession to the only proper use of him the said WILLIAM FAIRFAX his heirs and assignes forever, In Witness I have set my hand & Seal in presence of JOHN GREGG CHA, GREEN
- At a Court held for Prince William County the 23d day of November 1741, CHARLES GREEN Clerk ackowledged this Lease & Release with Receit Endorsed to WILLIAM FAIRFAX Esqr, to be his acts & deeds & they were thereupon admitted to Record.
