    "Charles Swain was one of ten children born to John S. Swain and his wife Lucinda Norris Swain. On July 10, 1859 he married Mary Elizabeth Byrd. They were the parents of two children, Lucinda and John. Charles was a farmer in Mississippi until the death of his wife. He then moved to Texas and lived with his son John until his own death. Charles leaves behind family and friends in Texas as well asMississippi who feel such sorrow at the loss of this man. "
