SOUTHPORT - Charles C. Roof, 83, of Cape Fear Drive, died Wednesday, September 8, 2004, in the Dosher Memorial Hospital Nursing Center.
Born in Ellis, Kansas on June 25, 1921 he was the son of the late Charles and Eva Parks Roof. Mr. Roof was a retired Nuclear Engineer and was a US Army veteran. He also was a member of the Masonic Organization and the Shriners and was preceded in death by a daughter Linda Leilani Roof.
Survivors include his wife Nancy Roof; two sons, Charles Roof of California, David M. Roof of Aiken, SC; a daughter, Jackie Knott of Boiling Spring Lakes, NC; a sister, Phyllis Holmberg of CA; four grandchildren, David Roof, Becky Knott, Lindy Johnson, William Knott and three great-grandchildren, Conner Roof, Timothy Johnson and William Johnson.
No local services are planned but friends are encouraged to come by the family?s house and visit.
