Charles MELANSON fils, born around 1675, son of Charles & Marie DUGAS, married around 1700 to Anne BOURQUE, daughter of Francois & Marguerite BOUDROT [sic]. An inhabitant of Port-Royal, he seemed to have been embarked on the "Pembroke" in 1755, to be transported to North Carolina. But the Acadian prisoners seized the vessel and directed it to the River Saint-Jean.
