Anita McCLUNG & I continue our research in trying to figure out WHO is the father of Charles McCLUNG (b. between 1805 & 1810 according to census records). Charles was born, and married, in Augusta Co., VA was (married to Sarah GABHART August 07, 1834). By the 1840 census, he shows up in Harrison Co., (W)VA Census and remains there until his death on August 22, 1868. We've been working on Charles for, well over a year, maybe two (2), unfortunately, with NO success. We, suddenly, have two (2) possibles, but nothing on EITHER (James, nor Kott McCLUNG). Might you, or another on the McCLUNG board?
WHO does this McCLUNG family belongs? He was mis-indexed as James McCLARY in the 1810 VA Census. The census READS James McCLUNG. It reads as follows:

2 Males Under 10
1 Female 16-25
1 Female 26-44
1 Female Over 45
