Charles Albertus Maxson died at his residence, 25 Elm St., Westerly, R. I., Saturday morning, about half past twelve o'clock, aged 69 years, 6 months and 10 days, the cause of death being valvular disease of the heart.
He leaves a widow, one son and one daughter to mourn the departure of a kind and loving husband and father, beside a host of friends who sympathize with them. While Mr. Maxson has been in ill health for several years, both himself and his family knowing the end might come suddenly, still he has kept about, having been at his place of business on West Broad street within two or three days of his demise. He was out doors the day before and seemed in good spirits.
He had not retired for the night but was resting on a couch when attacked with a severe pain in the region of the heart. The pain did not yield to the usual remedies so a physician was summoned who quickly to find that the heart had ceased to beat.
Mr. Maxson was a quiet, unobtrusive man, who attended to his own business with diligence. He was a member, for years, of the Pawcatuck Seventh-day Baptist church. - Westerly Sun.
Mr. Maxson was well known in Milton, being a son-in-law of the late Nelson Reynolds.
