12/23/08 - Charles Edward's father was shot for horse thieving. Charles was sent at the age of 8-9 years old to live with a uncle in Arkansas. This uncle had another son and showed nepotistm and Charles Edward ended up running away when he was about 10-12 years old. Went to work on the railroad somewhere in South Texas.
