Facts and Events
THOUGHTS: 19 March 2002 Charles would have been about 11 on the 1851 Bradwell census, but there is no Charles listed with the Henry Hunwick family. There is a C. Hunwick also living in Bradwell, but he is the 9 year old grandson of William and Ann Hunwick, a different Hunwick family. In the 1861 Bradwell census a Charles Hunwick is now listed with the Henry Hunwick family, he is a son of Henry's age 8. This would make him too young to be the Charles born to Henry and Mary Anne in 1840. The census still records the second Charles Hunwick, grandson, still living with his grandfather William Hunwick. This Charles is now recorded as being 19 years old. It appears that there are three Charles Hunwicks belonging to two families. Henry father of Charles born in 1840 in Pattiswick, who is likely the Charles Hunwick recorded in the civil registration as dying between Oct - Dec 1842 in the Braintree Registration District, under which Pattiswick and Bradwell fall. Henry has a second son named Charles born about 1853. This son is recorded on the 1861 census for Bradwell. William Hunwick, a neighbor in Bradwell, has living with him in the 1851 and 1861 census a grandson also named Charles Hunwick. William's grandson can not be Henry's first son Charles as William is not Henry's father. Further research may show that William is Henry's uncle though.
