Charles E. Hudson (Jr.) was brought up on a farm and received a common school education. He farmed in Prarie Twp. (Charleston), Franklin Co., Arkansas. He was a Democrat in politics and a member of the Baptist Church. The book also states that Mr. & Mrs. Hudson had eight children, "one of whom is deceased".
