Daily Times-News, The Wednesday, July 31, 1968 Local Man's Brother Dies From Injuries Charles D. HORNADAY. 32, of Liberty, the brother of L. S. HORNADAY Jr.. of Burlington, died in an Elizabethtown hospital Tuesday morning from injuries received in an airplane accident in Elizabethtown Sunday, July 21. Mr. HORNADAY was piloting a private craft that crashed in Elizabethtown. He was critically injured by a guy wire hit by the plane. The son of LEWIS S. and Mary Shoffner HORNADAY of Liberty, who survive, he also is survived by two other brothers, Thomas: D. HORNADAY of Charlotte and] Joseph S. HORNADAY of Liberty. Final rites will be held at Liberty friends Church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The pastor, the W. L. Sills, will conduct the service. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Liberty. The body will remain at Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty until taken to the church for the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home to- night from 7 to 9 o'clock.
