Auburn Citizen-Advertiser, 14 Aug 1938: CAR'S BLOW BREAKS LITTLE BOYS LEG Leslie P. Foster of Genoa reported at the sheriff's office this afternoon that, while driving his motor car a mile east of Locke Village today, a child whom he afterwards learned was Charles Hammon, four, son of Walter Hammon of Locke, ran from behind another automobile and in front of his car... The child was taken to the office of Dr. H.E. Anthony at Moravia and was found to have a broken leg.

Auburn Citizen, 31 Dec 1984: CHARLES W. (SKIP) HAMMON Charles W. (Skip) Hammon, 50, of Route 90, Locke, died on Saturday December 29, 1984 at his home following a long illness. He was born on January 5, 1934 in Locke, the son of Walter and Pearl Bostwick Hammon. He had made his home in the Locke area all of his life. He owned and operated a farm and was a member of the Locke Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Patricia O'Brien of Locke; three sons, C. Michael Hammon of Locke, Joseph Hammon and Matthew Hammon at home; two daughters, Mrs. Stephen (Kathy) Mulvaney of Moravia and Mrs. Gary (Colleen) Brink of Lansing; four grandchildren... Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Wade Funeral Home... Moravia. Burial will be in Bird Cemetery, Locke.
