HAMMER, Charles, age 76, of the Finsrud Road, Rt. 2, Everson, passed away at the family home Sunday, Aug. 31, (1952). Mr. Hammer had resided in the county for the last 55 years, and was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Lawrence, and leaves to survive his widow, Clara, at home; five daughters, Mrs. Esther Roemer, Rt. 2, Everson, Mrs. Ada Goodwin, Port Angeles, Mrs. Gladys Burgess, Deming, Mrs. Hazel Sherwood, Tacoma, and Mrs. Pauline Briggs, Clipper; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; one brother, Swan Hammer, Braham, Minnesota, and one sister, Mrs. Esther Larson, Stanchfield, Minn. The remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted by the Rev. Judson L. Crary Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 1:00 p.m. Final resting place, Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
