Information on Charles Haines

Evan Ellis, son of Owen and Christina-- Evan Ellis' wife Margaret Hines' mother Margaret Dixon (wife of Charles Hines) was the daughter of John Dixon, according to Margaret's marriage record. In 1792, Charles Hines received a land grant in Greenbrier County, land adjacent to John Dixon: Description: 50 acres on Pollies Creek a branch of Greenbrier River adjoining the land of John Dixon. March 21, 1792. In Charles Hines' will in Monroe County, his son William Hines was specifically named. Mention was also made regarding some of Charles Hines' children who weren't specifically named (Margaret Hines Ellis would have been one of those).
