[edit] ======================================Watertown Daily Times, 20 Feb 2010: CHARLES GREGORY Charles C. Gregory, 79, of 87 E. Church Street, died early Friday morning at his home, while under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County. There will be a memorial later at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Piddock Funeral Home, Adams. Born May 17, 1930 in the town of Rodman, son of Charles and Rosa Sydenham Gregory, he attended school in Rodman, Thomas Settlement and Adams. Following school he worked construction on the St. Lawrence Seaway, at Empire Livestock, Adams, Village of Adams DPW, and was a crossing guard in Adams for several years. Mr. Gregory entered the US Army February 8, 1951 where he served in the Korean Conflict as an artilleryman. He was discharged January 19, 1953. He married Linda Murray of Adams July 5, 1969. The couple lived in Adams all their married life. Mrs. Gregory died November 1986. He is survived by three sons, Daryl W., Watertown; Chuck. and companion Connie Hatch, Adams, Desha W. and wife Connie L., Canton; three daughters, Tracy L. Gregory, Adams, Leona R. and companion Garry Berry, Adams; Charlene Tanner and companion David Wallace, Oswego; six grandchildren... three sisters, Betty Lennox, Adams; Ethel Carr, Palmyra; Lavina Nichols, Adams, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by six brothers, Roy, William, Harold, Earl, Alfred, and Kenneth and three sisters, Iva Allard, Hilda Schuaffer, and Irene Steele References
