1950 Alfreda Kummer Fletcher dies in Douglas Co. WA - buried Fraternity Cemetery, Waterville, Douglas Co. WA from the Waterville Big Bend Empire 26 May 1921 Charley Fletcher says he had an awful time keeping Jack Friel straight with the world while they were down at the State College. He says after they went through the big round barn, Jack was completely lost to all directions and he served as an official guide for him during the rest of their visit. from the Waterville Big Bend Empire 17 Nov 1921 Chas. Fletcher claims he had a narrow escape this morning with a short-change artist. The fellow came into the store to buy 15 cents worth of nails, and handed him a $20 bill. He then decided he did not want to break the $20 and gave him a ten, then said he had a five. When they finally got the transaction about closed, the fellow was leaving with a five spot that belonged in the till. Charlie "called" him. He gave it back and hurried out. Image Gallery
