Facts and Events
When Lee Waters was about 16 ys. old (Abt. 1921) his grand uncle "Charlie Flanagan" asked him to work for him for about 3 months one spring. Lee used a mule team to break (plow) Charlie's fields and to put the cotton and other crops in. Charlies' farm was around DePue, Oklahoma at that time. Lee mentioned that his girl cousins were sure good looking. (Source: Lee Waters conversation with DW 1/1999). This source also lists Charlie's wife as "Rosy" and lists their children: 82 i. L.D. Flanagan. 83 ii. Opal Flanagan. 84 iii. Faye Flanagan. 85 iv. Velma Flanagan. 86 v. Vada Flanagan. 87 vi. Verna Flanagan. 88 vii. Everett Flanagan. 89 viii. Carl Flanagan. |
