Ancestry heads the page of baptisms as St. Stephens, Tredegar Road, Tower Hamlets. The street address given for the Ellis family at the time of the baptism is in Shepherds Bush, Kensington on the opposite side of London! Shepherds Bush fits with the civil registration. Other addresses on the page of baptisms are in Old Ford which is part of Bow which is in Tower Hamlets. In the 1871 census the family are back in Homerton in Hackney.

Horner Charles William ELLIS Nephew 11 Shepherds Bush Scholar For some reason Charles is listed as Horner Charles William Ellis, perhaps the head of the household had tried to explain to the ennumerator how Charles was connected to the family but was not quite not quite understood and hence the confusion about his name. The connection of Charles to the Bean family is through the Homer family, presumably it is the sister of Rebecca Ann Homer who married James Bean on the 12 Sep 1858 in Christ Church Greyfriars Newgate (IGI), this would then makes Charles the nephew of Mary & James Bean.
