Obituary, from the Bath Independent and Enterprise, 9 Nov 1907, p. 8:

Charles S. Colby of Topsham, died Thursday [7 Nov 1907]. He was a well-known ship fastener who had been employed in Bath yards for many years. He leaves a widow, three sons, James, Fred and Charles O., also three daughters, Alice, Clara and Lillian, and two sister[s], Mrs. Hugh McTeer of Bath and Mrs. Georgie Leighton of Somerville, Mass., and a brother Jacob Colby of Westport.
The funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at ten o'clock from his late residence in Topsham.
Mr. Colby was a member of Polar lodge F. & A. M. and Dunlap commandery. Several years ago Mr. Colby moved from Bath to Topsham where he purchased a farm. He has been in failing health for some time. He was an honest, respected citizen, and a first class workman.
