Obituary

Hamilton Advocate, Hamilton, Missouri April 5, 1945 CHARLES E. BISHOP DIES Charles Eldridge Bishop, 82, passed away at his home in Kingston Saturday and funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Federated Church conducted by the pastor, Rev. C.H. Sauceman. He is survived by his wife (3rd), Lillie Bishop, of the home and three children, B.O. Bishop of Polo, Mo.; Callie Bishop and Ted Bishop of Los Angeles, Calif. The burial was postponed until Wednesday afternoon until the arrival of the son, Ted from Los Angeles. Mr. Bishop began the trip to Missouri by plane but was grounded at Albuquerque by priority passengers. Mr. Bishop resided west of Kingston where he had made his home for almost his entire life. CHARLES E. BISHOP DIES Charles E. Bishop, 82 years of age, passed away at his home west of Kingston, Saturday afternoon. He had been ill for a week or so before his death. He was born in Knoxville, Ia., January 2, 1863, the son of A.W. and Julia Ann Bishop. His wife, Mrs. Lilly Bishop of the home survives as do two sons, Beryl of Polo, and Te d of Los Angeles, and one daughter, Miss Callie Bishop also of Los Angeles. She was here a few weeks ago and had a visit with her father. Funeral services were held at the Federated church in Kingston at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A.W. Kirby of the Methodist church of Polo. Burial was in the Kingston cemetery. The burial was postponed until Wednesday afternoon for the arrival of his son, Ted, fro m California who was delayed at Albuquerque N.M., on account of priority passengers.
