"Great Great Grandmother of Tessy McMillan3845 Sterncroft Drive, Virginia Beach, VA 23456-6846. This information supplied 6-19-97. Copy of Charities obituary from the Lindsay, Oklahoma News, Friday, June 10, 1938 #37. Excerpts: Charity Elvira Tye Passed away at home of Son Sunday, funeral Monday. Gone is another of the few remaining hard pioneer citizens of Lindsay Community, whose lives and labors were so definitely a part in the development of this section of Oklahoma. Charity Elvira Tye passed to her reward at the home of her son Tom Tye, southeast of Lindsay, Sunday, June 5. She had not been in good health for some time, suffering fram a heart ailment, and her death was attributed to a heart attack. She was 78 yrs old, 5 mos. and 23 days old when the death angel called. Charity and her husband and children moved to the Indian Territroy near where Lindsay is situated more than 40 years ago. Married H. M. Tye, had 10 children. 2005: Crites Family Bbible shows her birthdate January 12, 1859"
