You refer to "The Sewell Family Tree". Is that a book? If so can you give author, exact title, publisher etc.? Thanks. Now, to be more exact about my search. I'm looking for the parents/family of a Celia "Selah" Sewell who would have been born about 1785 in Moore and who would have married a Duncan McInish in Moore about 1805. Duncan and Celia lived in Moore on the Lower Little River. Duncan and Celia had children including a daughter Celia Ann (sometimes called Sealey or Sealey Ann) and sons John, Gilbert, Daniel and Niven. The McInish family pretty much stayed together along with Celia's husband D.L. Burson (married in Campbell GA) as they left Moore and went to: Fayette and then Campbell/Carroll/Coweta in GA in the 1820's/1830's; and then Cherokee (1840's) and Tallapoosa later Elmore (1850's on) in AL. Possible Sewell connections follow. In Moore in the 1790/1800 censuses Sewells with daughters who could be Celia include John, Mary, and Lewis Sr. and Jr. The Lewises lived near the McInish family in south Moore on Lower Little tributaries. In GA later there was a Lewis in Franklin and two Asa's, James, James H. and William B. in Campbell. In Cherokee/Autauga AL there were Isaac, Asa Quimby and Abihue.
In Tallapoosa/Elmore there were John and Isaac Q.Some of these, I reckon, must have been brothers to Celia, but who? Another branch of the Moore Sewells went to Henry Co. AL (a John, Phillip, and Lewis) and then panhandle FL, where there were daughters named Celia Ann or Sealey, one of whom is shown in Ancestral File as granddaughter of a Phillip born 1765 in NC. Maybe this will help someone help me make the right connection to the parents of that Celia born about 1785 who married Duncan McInish. Thanks, David Dunn.
