As reported in The Jackson Sun: 09/26/2002 Cecille Williams Fields, MILAN Services for Mrs. Cecille Williams Fields, 86, will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at the Milan Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Dr. Roy Hall officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan. Mrs. Fields, a homemaker, died Wednesday morning at the Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare in Jackson. She was born in Milan, September 8, 1916, the daughter of the late Harry Edward and Cecile Swain Williams and had lived in Milan most of her life. She was an avid UT Football fan. She was a member of the Milan Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Friendly Sunday School Class and formerly served as a Sunday School teacher. Her life was full of love for her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, herhusband and her family, her church family and all the other friends and neighbors, some of them lifelong, that made her life so blessed andrich. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. James O. Fields and a sister, Catherine Coley. She is survived by a son, Thomas D. Fields, M.D. of Satellite Beach, FL; two granddaughters, Carlye Fields and Hannah Fields both of Satellite Beach, FL. The family will receive friends after 5:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
