Colonel, U. S. Army, World War II, Korea. Medical Doctor-Chief Epidemiologist, Colorado Department of Health (now the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment) from 1957 to 1972. Died as the result of a predestrian/automobile accident. Graduate of the University of Colorado School of Medicine (1928). Articles that he co-authored included: "A Study of an Epidemic of Swimming Pool Granuloma" (1960); The Mystery of the Swimming Pool (1961); Publlic Health Significance of Swimming Pool Granuloma (1961); Swimming Pool Granuloma: A Study of 290 Cases (1963); Inactivated Measles-Virus Vaccine (1965); Epidemic Giadiasis at a Ski Resort (1969); Colorado Tick Fever: Clinical and Epidemiologic Feaatures and Evaluation of Diagnostic Methods (1971); and, Projections for Better Immunization Practices as Indicated by a Recent State-wide Immunization Survey (1972).
