Mebane, N.C. — Mrs.. Cathy Campbell Francis, 43, of 761 South 8th St., died on Sunday, March 31, 2002 at her home after a 2 year battle with breast cancer.

Cathy was a free lance artist and she owned and operated C. C. Graphics and Design for many years before devoting her time to her two daughters and husband. She was an avid gardener bring creativity to everything she pursued. She was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church.

Cathy was born on November 29, 1958 in Alamance County, N.C. to Robert Taylor Campbell of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Jeanne Sharpe Campbell of Wilmington, N.C. both surviving. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Albert Francis, having spent over 19 wonderful years together. Two Daughters, Miss Kristel Maria Francis and Miss Rachel Leigh Francis both of the home; Sister, Mrs.. Robin C. Freeman of Wilmington, N.C.;and a Brother-Robert Scott Campbell of Burlington, N.C.; Maternal Grandmother, Mrs.. Nancy Martin Sharpe of Burlington, N.C.

She is preceded in death by her Maternal Grandfather, Garmon Monroe Sharpe and Paternal Grandparents, Rufus T. and Beatrice Christopher Campbell.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Gibsonville City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. Other times the family will be at the residence.
