1880 census: age 27; keeping house, married to Barber; has two sons from pervious marriage and one daughter of their own. [CU-IL 44].

lists a Barber J, born 1831, IN living in IL. But this guy was born in 1831, was a physician, wife = Kate Curtis, one daughter = May and two stepsons. Kate is 22 years younger-- second marriage for both. Obit of Malinda says her father was a Dr., so this could be correct person. If Mrs. BJ Curtis bought the gravesite for Barber, it must have been Kate, because apparently Malinda was dead. DOM calculated from DOB of daughter May.
