Floyd K Allison Retired supervisor

Floyd K Allison, 69, died at 5:10 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 1999, at his res idence at 507 E Findlay St, Carey.

He was born in Fostoria, Aug. 16, 1929, the son of the late Glenn and Mar ie (McClellan) Allison. On Sept. 4, 1948, in Greenup, Ky, he married Flore nce Jacques, who survives.

Survivors also include: three sons, Bill Allison of Upper Sandusky, Kenne th Allison of Tiffin and Keith Allison of Carey; a daughter, Linda Allis on of Carey; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brother s, Glenn Jr and John Allison; and four sisters, Mrs. Calvin (Velma) Copp es of Findlay, Joan Hill and Mrs. Johnnie (Barbara) Conley, both of Car ey and Mrs. Mike (Glenda) Kinn of Alvada.

A brother, Charles; and an infant sister, Florence, also are deceased.

Mr. Allison, a member of the Protestant Faith, retired as a supervis or in 1991 from the National Lime and Stone CO in Carey, after 42 yea rs of employment.

A 1948 Carey High School graduate, he was a lifetime member of the Carey C onservation Club and a social member of VFW Post 3759, Carey.

He also was a former Scout Master of Den 51 Cub Scouts of Carey.

The Rev. Paul DeMoss will conduct the 11 a.m. Wednesday service in the Sto mbaugh Memorial Funeral Home, Carey. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemete ry, Carey.

Visitation at the funeral home will be 2-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Inez Marie Angles Fostoria homemaker/centenarian

Inez Marie Angles, 101, formerly of Vine St, Fostoria, died at 6:20 p.m. T uesday, March 16, 1999, in St. Catherines Care Center, Fostoria.

She was born in Defiance, Feb. 16, 1898, to John and Mae (Myers) Alle n. On Oct. 2, 1915, in Monroe MI, she married Elza Virgil Angles, who di ed Feb. 5, 1981.

Survivors include: five sons, Allen of Urbana, Milton, Duane and Gregor y, all of Fostoria and Ronald of Cape Coral, Fla.; two daughters, Donel da Myers of Fostoria and Marilyn Burford of Chatam, Onterio Canada; 30 gra ndchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were two daughters, Audrey and Connie Angle s; four brothers, Roy, Roll, Wm and Harry Allen; a sister, Nell Ogle; a nd three great-grandchildren, Jeff Angles, Thomas Buford and Cara Rae Myer s.

A homemaker, Mrs. Angles was a member of the First Church of the Nazaren e, Fostoria, where she was a former organist, Sunday School teacher and bo ard member.

Services in the First Church of the Nazarene will be 11 a.m. Friday, wi th the Rev. Russell Gumm officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens, ne ar Arcadia.

Visitation at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, is 2-4 and 7 -9 p.m. today.

Robert Neal Banks Union Carbide retiree

Robert Neal Banks, 78, of 461 W Lytle St, Fostoria, died Friday afternoo n, Jan. 29, 1999, in Memorial Hospital, Fremont.

He was born in Caldwell CO Mo, Feb. 25, 1920, to Wm Powell and Rosa (Bratc her) Banks. On June 24, 1944, in Tiffin, he marrried Nettie Virginia Shoo k, who survives in Fostoria.

Other survivors include: six sons, Ronnie Banks of Independence, Mo, Robe rt J and Kevin M Banks, both of Fostoria, Daniel D Banks of Tiffin, Jo hn N Banks of Lima and Wm F Banks of Bloomdale; four daughters, Mrs. Jam es (Nettie) Grine of Fostoria, Mrs. Stefen (Mary) Partlow of Bowling Gree n, Mrs. Jerry (Rita) Edinger of Tiffin and Mrs. Jerry (Cindy) Hopson of Bl uffton; a step-son, James Spangler of Bradenton, Fla.; two step-daughter s, Mrs. Stan (Roberta) Distel of Newark and Sharon Breington of Orlando, F la.; 26 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 18 step-grandchildren; a br other, Wm P Banks of Fostoria; and a sister, Rozella Dennis of Toledo.

Preceding him in death were a son, Bevin P Banks, three brothers, seven si sters, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Banks, a World War II U.S Army veteran, retired in 1978 as a furnace f ireman from Union Carbide in Fostoria (now National Electrical Carbon), af ter 35 years of service.

He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, Fostoria VFW a nd Tiffin AMVETS.

A funeral Mass in St. Wendelin Catholic Church will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesda y, with the Rosary recited at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Wendelin Cemet ery, Fostoria, with military graveside services conducted by the United Ve terans of Fostoria.

Visitation at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, will be 2-4 and 7-9 p. m. Monday, where a Christian Wake service will be at 8:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or the Americ an Heart Association.





Anna E Baker Former Wesley Village resident

Anna E Baker, 83, formerly of Wesley Village, Fostoria, died at 3:30 p. m. Monday, Jan. 18, 1999, in the Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.

She was born in Pittsburg, Pa, Dec. 19, 1915, to Clyde R and Mary Catheri ne (Rhein) Long. Her former husband, Elmer G Baker, is deceased.

Survivors include: a son, James Baker of Fostoria; a daughter, Mary Ann Sh erman, also of Fostoria; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, Mrs. Baker was a homem aker.

A funeral Mass in St. Wendelin Catholic Church will be 10:30 a.m. Thursda y, with the Rosary recited at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the parish cemeter y.

Visitation at the Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, is 2-5 p.m. today, whe re a Christian Wake service will be at 5 p.m.

Dorothy L Bardon Fostoria homemaker

Dorothy L Bardon, 81, of SR 587, New Riegel, died at 2:25 p.m. Monday, Ja n. 18, 1999, in St. Catherine's Care Center, Fostoria.

Born Aug. 19, 1917, in Wyandot CO to George and Christina (Fruth) Heilma n, she married Harold Bardon, Oct. 28, 1939, in McCutchenville. He preced ed her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Richard Bardon of New Riegel and Jerry Bardon of B elvidere, Ill.; two sisters, Marjorie Tanner of McCutchenville and Magdele na Hufford of Sycamore; a grandchild, two great-grandchildren, two step-gr andchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were five brothers, Arden, Harold, Clair, Kenn eth and Ralph Heilman.

Mrs. Bardon was a homemaker.

Services will be 1 p.m. today in the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostor ia, with the Rev. Donald Goodwin officiating. Interment will be in Founta in Cemetery, Fostoria.

Visitation is one hour prior to the service today at the funeral home.

Mae Elizabeth Beck Former owner, Wayside Inn

Mae Elizabeth Beck, formerly of Fostoria, died at 10:44 a.m. Wednesday, Ja n. 13, 1999, at Mercy Memorial Hospital, Monroe MI. She had been a reside nt of the Lutheran Home of Monroe for the past four years.

She was born May 11, 1913, in Urbana to Richard and Rosa (Howell) Johns. S he married Charles G Beck in Findlay Aug. 19, 1929. He died in March 1973.

Survivors include her sons, Donald C Beck of Port Clinton, Thomas W Be ck of Clinton Twp MI.; a daughter, Marlyn J Gensler of Monroe; a brothe r, Wm Johns of Columbus, and two sisters, Margaret McCartney of Mansfie ld and Mary Heldman of Findlay; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchild ren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Beck was a U.S naval inspector during World War II; a district manag er for Dickey Manufacturing, Toledo, and later owned the Wayside Inn, Fost oria, as well as managing several other restaurants.

She was a past member of the Moose Auxiliary, Rebecca Lodge, American R ed Cross volunteer, Daughters of America of Fostoria, VFW Auxiliary in F L, past president Nugent's Canal Yacht Club Auxiliary and International Or der of Satin Gavel in Port Clinton.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mann-Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria, w ith the Rev. Ray Getter of Wayne Church of Christ as officiant.

Visitation will be noon until the time of service Saturday. Interme nt is at Memory Gardens, Arcadia.

Bessie L Blake Retired nurse

Bessie L Blake, 90, of North Vine St, Fostoria, died in Fostoria Communi ty Hospital at 3:47 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999.

She was born April 7, 1908, in rural Fostoria, Washington Twp Hanco ck CO to John and Mary A (Hakes) Wolf. On March 19, 1933, in Arcadia, s he married Richard W Blake, who died March 9, 1998.

Survivors include: a son, Robert W Blake of Fostoria; a daughter, Mrs. Jam es (Beverly) Stegman of Vista, Calif.; five grandchildren and five great-g randchildren.

Preceding her in death were two brothers, Walter and Donald Wolf; and a si ster, Hazel Wolf.

Mrs. Blake was employed as a nurse at Fostoria City Hospital (now Fostor ia Community Hospital) for more than 14 years, retiring in the early 1970s .

A 1925 graduate of Fostoria High School, she was a member of Wesley Unit ed Methodist Church, Fostoria; Catabwa Point Association and the Police a nd Fireman's Pension Association and a former member of the Hancock CO Ele ction Board.

Services in the Wesley United Methodist Church will be 11 a.m. Thursday, w ith the Rev. Branson J Hawkes officiating. Interment will be in Fountain C emetery, Fostoria.

Visitation at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, will be 2-4 a nd 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.

Gwendolyn M Bulkowski Airfoil Textron retiree

Gwendolyn M Bulkowski, 69, of Northview Drive, Fostoria, died at 7:26 p. m. Friday, Feb. 12, 1999, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.

She was born in Fostoria, March 7, 1929, to the late Stanley and Louise (R eicherd) Wolfelt. On Sept. 4, 1954, in Angola, Ind, she married Eugene W B ulkowski. He died Oct. 19, 1991.

Surviving are three sons, James Cooper of Mansfield and Scott and Terry Bu lkowski, both of Fostoria; two daughters, Debra Hill of Fostoria and Mr s. Greg (Tracy) Jolliff of Forest; a sister, Mrs. John (Barbara) Conr ad of Fremont; nine grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Cindy Lou Cooper, and a broth er, Harold Wolfelt.

Mrs. Bulkowski, a 1947 graduate of Fostoria High School, retired in 1983 f rom Airfoil Textron, Fostoria, after 26 years of service.

She attended the Hope Lutheran Church and was a member of the Fostoria Sen ior Citizens and Ladies of the Moose, all of Fostoria.

There will be no services or visitation. The Harrold-Floriana Funeral Hom e, Fostoria, is in charge of arrangements.

Catherine A Byers Homemaker/former Fostoria resident

Catherine A Byers, 87, of 825 June St, Fremont, died at 11:50 a.m. Sunda y, March 7, 1999, in the Fremont Care Center.

Born May 26, 1911, in Seneca CO to Herbert P and Jennie D (Wolf) Stucke y, she married Charles W Byers May 26, 1932, in Tiffin. He died in July 19 71.

Surviving are a son, Duane H Byers of Fostoria; two daughters, Mrs. Cliffo rd (Donna J) Eidenour of Burgoon and Mrs. Gene (Leann P) Norman of Bellevu e; 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchil dren.

A granddaughter, two brothers and two sisters, also are deceased.

Mrs. Byers, a homemaker, was a former member of Rebecca Lodge, Rising S un and the Jackson Liberty Grange. She was a graduate of Bettsville High S chool.

The Rev. Roberta Hart will conduct the 1 p.m. Thursday service in the Mann -Hare Funeral Home, Fostoria. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, near Ar cadia.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
