- It would seem that Catherine Spears was the first child of Ann Mary and Christian. Her tombstone indicates that she was born August 6, 1781; her parents were taken prisoners June 22, 1780. It may be inferred from the above facts that Ann Mary and Christian were married in the summer of 1780.
