Facts and Events
Did CATHERINE have a brother named Samuel? There is a Samuel Shawver, who was named as the clerk in the 1849 reorganization of Zion's Congregation. On Page 559 of The History of Tuscarawas County, Ohio (1884) which mentions John Hawk, there was mention of Samuel Shawyer (sometimes the surname was spelled that way) who bought the farm of Francis Putt (who has a WeRelate.org Page). It says that Samuel was from Harrison County. Samuel Shawver was a "J. P." in Tuscarawas County, and signed the marriage certificate of Jacob (John Jacob) Lower, and Magdalena Carns (Karns). Both have WeRelate.org Pages. --White Creek 02:57, 27 January 2014 (UTC) |
