Two Suitors?

Catherine Sharrett, daughter of Daniel apparently changed her mind in marrying Martin Wolf, based upon the following records in Augusta County:

  • Vol. 2 - Marriage Bond - 1791--June 9, Martin Wolf and Daniel Sharret, surety. Martin Wolf and Catherine Sharret, daughter of Daniel Sherritt (German). Martin is son of Sebastian Wolf and of age.
Catherine ended up marrying Daniel Shirey on 20 June 1792 in Augusta County, Virginia.
