    on Dec 22, 1954, p.16, col.6 - Mrs. Christopher Martin - Mrs Catherine Martin, 87, of the Miller Rest Home, 150 W.Woodland Ave, died of infirmities at 3.10pm Tues at the home. Mrs.Martin was born Oct 20, 1867 in Maryland, the dau of Mr & Mrs.George Rizer. She came to Youngstown about 40yrs ago and before going to the rest home, she lived about 3yrs with a daughter, Mrs.Pearl Jackson in Sand Patch, PA. She was a member of Hillman St. Christian Church. Her husband, Christopher Martin, died in 1932. Besides Mrs Jackson, she leaves 2 other daughters, Mrs Geneva Summers & Mrs Alpha Webb, both of Youngstown; 5 sons, George of Meyersdale, PA, Howard of Belton, TX and Roy, Charles & Louis of Youngstown; 27 grandchildren & 42 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1.30pm Friday at the Shriver-Allison South Side Funeral Home, where friends may call tomorrow evening.
