Disambiguation

Not to be confused with Catherine Persinger (1745-1830), daughter of Jacob Persinger (1716-1789) and his first wife Rebecca. Some researchers have mistakenly claimed that this Catherine was Jacob's daughter, but the other Catherine is proven to have married Jacob Pence (1738/39-1800) in 1763.

Parentage of Catherine Persinger

Once Jacob Persinger (1716-1789) is ruled out as the father of this Catherine (as he had a daughter Catherine Persinger (1745-1830), that married Jacob Pence (1738/39-1800) in 1763, by process of elimination, her likely parents would have been Christian Persinger and Barbara Pence. They would have been married just early enough in 1768 to have been her parents, but we still need some additional records to conclusively prove that they were her parents.
