EMMONS, JESSIE, farmer; P. O. Newville. J. Emmous was born on the State road, five miles southeast of Mansfield, Oct. 16, 1838; his father, Allen Emmons, was born in the State of New Jersey, about 1801 ; he was a shoemaker, came to Ohio in 1816, and settled near Zanesville. He married Catharine Lime; they raised a daughter and five sons. Catharine Lime was a daughter of Michael Lime,
