"Johann Henrich Bengel, Evanelisch “Protestant” on 27 June 1747 married Catharine Kohler in the Reformed Lutheran German Church in Germantown, near Philadelphia in the Minister's residence in the presence of two witnesses" Reference: St. Michael's and Zion Lutheran Church records, Pennsylvania Germany Society records, Vol. I, page 585. Johann Henrich Bengel anglicized his name to read “John Henry Pangle”

On or about 1780-1782, John Henry Pangle died in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. His widow in 1783 was mentioned with four dependents in the 1783 Tax Lists for Shenandoah Co. Virginia. After that year she seem to "vanish" from the public records for Shenandoah Co. Virginia. Therefore, since John Pangle, her youngest child purchased a 200 acre farm in Hawkins Co., Tennessee on April 2, 1792. It would seem to appear that she went with her son, John Pangle when he moved to Hawkins Co. Tennessee? She died in 1810 and "I assume" she is buried in Hawkins Co. Tennessee?
