Catherine M Hughes Nov. 17, 1914 -- Aug. 4, 2004

Catherine M Hughes, 89, Gibsonburg, died Wednesday morning at the Hospi ce of Northwest OH in Perrysburg.

She was born in Gibsonburg to the now-deceased Harry and Matta (Ferrenbur g) Herr. Catherine married Ervin R Hughes on July 18, 1936, and he preced ed her in death on Oct. 18, 1996.

She was a 1932 graduate of Gibsonburg High School. Later she graduated fr om Toledo School of Commerce and worked as bookkeeper for the Gibsonburg E levator Association and was a homemaker.

Catherine was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Gibsonburg, t he OH Eastern Star in Fremont and past Worthy Matron of the Gibsonburg cha pter.

She is survived by son, Lee (Pamela) Hughes of Woodville; two grandchildre n; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Paul J Herr of Fremont. Precedi ng her in death are her parents, husband, brother, Norwood Herr, sister Ma rjorie Schuett and one great-grandchild.

Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Fune ral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg.

Services: 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Fritz Merkes offic iating.

Burial: West Union Cemetery
