preamble to an article on Asthma

No lady rider is better known in the Toowoomba dis- tract than Mrs. T Ryan, of Withcott, Helidon (now resid- ing at Drayton, near Toowoomba). Her appearance at the local shows, where she usually beats all comers in the leaping competitions, has ever been the signal for hearty cheers. Nor have her feats of horsemanship been confined to the Darling Downs, for this lady has success- fully competed at the Brisbane Show, against the best equestriennes that Queens- land can produce.
