    Mr. Nathaniel ("Nat.") Thomas Ryan, who died in Toowoomba on Wednesday (writes our Toowoomba representative), was a line foreman of the telephone department of the Post Office. He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ryan, of James-street, Toowoomba, and late of Drayton, and Was only 29 years of age. He had been in the service for about 10 years, and had been stationed at Cairns, Pentland, Brisbane, Warwick, and Toowoomba, and was considered a smart,capable official. He is survived by a young widow. As a mark of respect the. members of the Toowoomba Post and Telegraph Department acted as pall bearers at the funeral on Thursday. A large number of telegrams and letters of condolence were received, including one from Mr. J. M'Conachie, Acting Deputy Postmaster-General.
