Samuel G. Fulton spent his boyhood in his native township, receiving a common-school education. On October 11, 1883, he married Catherine E., daughter of Abe Crumrine, and they have one child: Percy C., born January 12, 1888. In 1886 Mr. Fulton purchased a mill on Pike run, which he conducted for three years; but finding the business otherwise than conducive to his good health, he was compelled to return to farm work, and he ultimately located on the property where he now resides. Although a stanch Democrat, he is not a politician, but his numerous friends have shown their appreciation of his many sterling qualities by the tendering of nomination to offices of trust. Both he and his wife are members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
