The contracting parties were Mr. Forester McGregor, aged 62, and Mrs. Kate E. Malloch, aged 63, mother of Mrs. Ed Disbrow of this city. The wedding took place at the ome of Mr. and Mrs. Disbrow on 4th avenue east, at 3:30 P.M. Rev. Fisher officiating. The rooms were prettily decorated with evergrees and at one end of the room the decorations had been so arranged as to form a horse shoe, and under this emblem of good luck the ceremony ws performed. Miss Clare Disbrow and Mr. Frank Stufft acted as bridesmaid and groomsman. At the conclusion of the nuptials a light lunch was served. In the evening a reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Young in Ashley, where a large number of the friends of the bride and groom had been invited to meet them and extend congratulations. Here a most elegant wedding supper had been prepared, the tables extending through two rooms and fairly groaning under the weight of the good things with which they were loaded. After the supper Scottish songs, dances and recitations were rendered by Messrs. McGregor, Dunsire, C.M. Walker, Angus McDonald and others. The idea was to show the manner in which the Scotch put hte proper finale to the wedding festivities, and to this end all united in making the occasion one that will be long remembered by all present. Mr. and Mrs. McGregor were the recipients of many beautiful and valuable gifts, among which were the following: Silver tea spoons, sugar shell, [....] and green bed spread, silver spoons, doiley, picture, head rest, parlor lamp, two bread and milk sets, pie [?] tray and cup and saucer. They will visit Kalispell for a few days and will then make their home at Mr. McGregor's ranch near Marion. The many friends of both the bride and groom unite in extending the most hearty congratulations and best wishes for their future happiness. Catherine Ellen Campbell (1836-1927), dau of John J. They were my grt grdparents, their dau Helena "Lena" was my grdmother who I remember well, having grown up on a farm a mile or so away from them.
