Carroll E. McCue, 86, of The Forum in Leawood, Kansas, died June 22, 2011 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Memorial Services will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Village Presbyterian Church with inurnment in the Church Columbarium. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to the Village Church Foundation.
Carroll attended Mound Valley High School, Labette County, Kansas and thereafter was a life-long resident of the Kansas City Metropolitan area. He was a member of the Village Presbyterian Church where he served on the Mariners Board for more than ten years, the Optimist Club of Mission, Kansas, the Delaware Crossing Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, the University of Kansas Alumni Association and the University of Missouri-Kansas City Alumni Association. Carroll was also a member of the Missouri and Kansas Bar Associations and the Missouri and Kansas Societies of Certified Public Accountants, with volunteer duties as the need arose, including CASA.
Carroll retired as Senior Attorney for Bayer, Inc., completing twenty-five years of service with Bayer and associated companies, Mobay and Chemagro Corporation. After a period of self-employment, Carroll became business manager for Pactech Data and Research, Inc., until his second retirement at age 82.
Carroll was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Frances Kutchko. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ella, of The Forum, sons Gary McCue and wife NgYuen Wong, San Jose, CA, Dr. Kenneth McCue and wife, Dr. Leila Gonzalez, LaCanada/Flintridge, CA, daughter Kathryn and husband John Arnold, Campbell, CA, son-in-law Dr. Frank Kutchko, Lenexa, KS and eight grandchildren: Daniel McCue, Andrew, Mark and Dr. Lisa Arnold, Kayla and Kyle McCue and Katrina and Karl Kutchko.
