Notes Hamilton Advocate July 28, 1927 Her Neck Broken in Car Spill Mrs. T. O. Esteb of Kansas City, a daughter of the late Joab Houghton of Kingston, was seriously injured in an automobile accident Sunday when the Esteb car went over an embankment on a highway east of Excelsior Springs. Mr. Esteb is a Kingston boy, a son of the late John T. Esteb, and his mother still resides at the county seat. T. O. Esteb, who was driving the car, says he lost control of the machine in trying to avoid a collision with a machine turning in from a side road. Mrs. Estebs neck is broken, but Mr. Esteb and a brother of Mrs. Esteb escaped with minor injuries. They were on the way to visit relatives near Richmond. Mrs. Esteb was taken to the Excelsior Springs Sanitarium and her condition is considered dangerous. Hamilton Advocate August 4, 1927 Death Follows Auto Accident Mrs. T. O. Esteb of Kansas City whose neck was broken in an automobile accident July 24 was told in these columns last week, died as a result of her injuries. Funeral services were held at the Christian church at Kingston last Sunday by Rev. McBride. The deceased was a daughter of the late Joab Houghton of the Kingston community. |
