Carolyn T. Lawson

FLORENCE ? Carolyn Townsend Lawson, 84, died Sunday, May 28, 2006, at her residence after an illness.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 3, in Central United Methodist Church, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lawson was born in Bennettsville, a daughter of the late Charles Evans and Ethel Moore Townsend. She was the widow of Garland Melvin Lawson.

Mrs. Lawson was a registered nurse and worked in public health in Virginia Beach, Va. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Florence.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Lawson.

Survivors include two sons, Bruce Lawson of New York and Roger Lawson of Florence; and two brothers, the Rev. David K. Townsend of Cheraw and John A. Townsend of Myrtle Beach.
