Carolyn as a child studies dance, tap and ballet, She was also what was called a contortionist. When she was born she weighed only 1 or 2 pounds and was not expected to live. Her tiny body was placed in a small box and set behind to stove for warmth. She was so small that in school a wooden box was made and placed at her desk so she could rest her tiny feet. She told me once that her dance teacher would go to New York to watch the New York Rockettes so that she could come back and teach her the dance steps. She also at one time held the State Title for Ballet.
She was a very gifted person when it came to music. She would play the spoons and had a washboard that with thimble she could play along to any tone.
She never worked outside the home. She would help with her parents family bar the C & O. She was an incredible cook and loved being a mother. She had this amazing ability of running the home. With 5 children that is a job in its own. She was not only the mother but the peace keeper, cook, housekeeper, the taxi. and doctor. She was a hair twirler, a game partner and a painter. She was a friend, and wife. She had a passion for shopping and she loved to play bingo.
